Jim Gaffigan and Sebastian Maniscalco Will Be Among First Comedians to Perform at The Theater at MGM National Harbor

Renowned Aces of Comedy Series Heads to MGM National Harbor

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. (October 17, 2016) – Stand-up comics Jim Gaffigan and Sebastian Maniscalco will be among the first comedians to headline The Theater at MGM National Harbor as part of the illustrious Aces of Comedy series. The always hilarious comedians will bring their respective national tours to the $1.4 billion resort and casino, which opened December 8.

The award-winning Aces of Comedy series has gained incredible momentum since its inception six years ago at The Mirage in Las Vegas. It has quickly cemented itself as “the strongest lineup of top-tier comedians anywhere on the planet” (Las Vegas Weekly). The series is one of the most comprehensive and diverse comedic line-ups, featuring some of the most popular comedians worldwide in its Las Vegas roster including Daniel Tosh, Jay Leno, Ray Romano, David Spade, Leslie Jones, Tim Allen and Gabriel Iglesias, among others.

The Theater at MGM National Harbor offers an experience unlike any other in the region, giving fans the opportunity to see world-class entertainment in an intimate setting, which can accommodate 3,000 guests for reserved-seating events and just over 4,000 for general admission shows.

Jim Gaffigan
Gaffigan, an actor, writer, producer, GRAMMY-nominated comedian, New York Times best-selling author, top touring performer, and multi-platinum selling father of five, hits the road with his family for his live Fully Dressed arena and theatre tour which stops at The Theater at MGM National Harbor Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 and Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017. Gaffigan will perform at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. nightly.

In 2015, Gaffigan became one of only 10 comedians in history to sell out the Madison Square Garden arena for the finale of his Contagious tour. He opened for Pope Francis in front of more than one million people in Philadelphia and his television show, “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” debuted on TV Land to enormous ratings and reviews with season two airing this past summer. In 2016, Gaffigan did not let off the gas. He filmed opposite Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, Ron Perlman and Elisabeth Moss in the independent drama, “The Bleeder.” In a dramatic turn, Gaffigan will next be seen in the independent film, "The Bleeder," opposite Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Ron Perlman and Elisabeth Moss. The sports drama follows the true story of boxing champ Chuck Wepner (Schreiber) who in 1975 went 15 rounds in the heavyweight world championship against Muhammad Ali. Gaffigan portrays John Stoehr, the ever-loyal best friend of Wepner. "The Bleeder" is currently scheduled to screen at both the Toronto and Venice international Film Festivals with a US release date to be announced shortly. He also appeared in the Falcon Films comedy, “Drunk Parents,” opposite Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek, and recently lent his voice to the China-based Original Force Animation’s animated feature, “Duck Duck Goose,” alongside Carl Reiner.

Gaffigan is currently in production in Apex Entertainment’s drama, "Chappaquiddick," opposite Jason Clarke, Ed Helms, Bruce Dern and Kate Mara, which follows the story revolving around Senator Ted Kennedy (Clarke) and the tragic car accident that took the life of Mary Jo Kopechne (Mara) in 1968. Gaffigan plays District Attorney Paul Markham, who was on the island of Chappaquiddick during the accident.
