Mark Myers has been a leading art publisher and distributer in the Washington/Baltimore metro area for over 30 years. Following a formal art education from Dartmouth College and University of Pennsylvania, Myers founded Annapolis based, Atlantic Arts in 1982. Providing completely tailored art programs, Atlantic Arts takes into account architectural and design needs as well as budgetary restrictions. Atlantic Arts comprehensive services encompass commissioning original art or the procurement of existing pieces, framing and installation.
Myers has used his personal relationships with artists and galleries around the globe to commission and curate collects for numerous corporate and hospitality projects. To date some of his largest collections have been created for Marriott properties in the United States, Germany and Switzerland, the Four Seasons and Legg Mason International Headquarters in Baltimore, several properties for Hyatt and Hilton hotels, and Corporate Office Properties Trust. Myers’ latest collaboration is with MGM National Harbor to create a permanent art collection that will be displayed around the resort with artists including famed musician, Bob Dylan.
In 2008, Myers also launched his M Contemporary Gallery, an avenue to develop and showcase artists for the collectables market. He has participated in several art fairs around the country representing artists in various mediums.
In his free time, Myers is an avid sailor and is a member of the Annapolis Yacht Club where he served as Commodore, the Cruising Club of America and the Storm Trysail Club. He has won numerous sailing awards including the prestigious Gaither Scott Trophy in 2007 and the John Parkinson Transatlantic Award in 2008 and 2010.
